The UHMWPE fiber is a continuous and bright white polyethylene multi-filament yarn which is lighter than water and around 40 percent greater than aramid fiber.
With high modulus and low elongation at break, its tenacity is more than 10 times stronger than high-quality steel.
The 400 UHMWPE multi-filament yarn is well-known for knit & coat EN388 level 3,4,5 cut resistant glove (typical knit with glass fiber + Spendex + Nylon or coat with PU. All of the level 5 knit or coat glove has passed the testing from CTC Lab.)
The strength remains more than 80% after being in sunshine for 1500 hours.
The strength remains 100% after 6 months in chemicals environment ( seawater, gas etc.)
The UHMWPE ropes remain 100% strength after 1000 times' loaded rotative tests.
Rotative times until break of abrasion proof more than 110 by 103
Rotative times until break of winding proof more than 240 by 103.
Strength of annelation is 12 up to 18g/d.
Collusion 10 up to 15g/d.
Melting point: around 125-145 degree Celsius.
Highly resistant to abrasion, cutting and tearing and UV.
